...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.
* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 957 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rainfall moving over
west Oahu from the southwest. Rain rates of about one inch
per hour were occurring from Nanakuli to Makaha. This area of
rain will spread into central and north Oahu over the next
couple of hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waipio, Wahiawa, Wheeler Field, Mililani, Schofield Barracks,
Kunia, Waikele, Waipahu, Pearl City, Waialua, Haleiwa, Aiea,
Makakilo, Nanakuli, Waianae, Waikane, Halawa, Waiahole,
Kapolei and Ewa Beach.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

persists.
