The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...
  Waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX from 20 to 60
  NM...
  Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 600 AM CDT.

* At 515 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 8 nm northwest
  of High Island 52 to near High Island A23 to High Island A457,
  moving northeast at 65 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
           damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in
           suddenly higher waves.

  Tabs Buoy F, Galveston A8, Heald Bank, Tabs Buoy B, Galveston 424,
  High Island A109, Galveston 221, Galveston 282, High Island A131,
  High Island A179, High Island A410, Bastrop Bay, Surfside Jetty,
  Christmas Bay, High Island A23, Galveston 317, Galveston 256, High
  Island A457, Drum Bay, and High Island A142.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
