Flood Statement

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  East Fork White River at Seymour.

.Rainfall of two to four inches over parts of the East Fork White
basin Tuesday through Wednesday has brought minor flooding to the
East Fork White at Seymour, and the crest is near Seymour as of late
Thursday  morning. The East Fork White is expected to crest near
bankfull in Lawrence and Martin counties Sunday and Monday. Those
with interests along area rivers and streams should monitor forecast
updates.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement should be issued late tonight by around 215 AM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding in progress.
  County Road 725 N near Rockford floods.  Indiana 258 east of
  Cortland may flood. On December 8 2014 about an inch of water
  flowed over Reddington Street near the East Fork White River
  Bridge as the river crested.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:45 AM EDT Thursday was 14.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
