...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following
  parishes, Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville,
  Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West
  Feliciana.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 907 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, Denham Springs, Plaquemine, Port
    Allen, New Roads, Jackson, St. Francisville, Clinton, Oak
    Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Walker, Addis, Brusly, Livingston,
    Livonia, French Settlement, Maringouin and Slaughter.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
