Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
210 AM CDT Tue Mar 19 2024
.DISCUSSION...
Recent wetting rains and cool weather have really improved fuel
moisture levels east of the Davis Mountains. Areas to the
southwest, in the Big Bend, did not receive rainfall and it is
this area that could see an elevated fire weather threat this
weekend as an upper level trough brings windy and dry conditions.
Otherwise light winds will reduce any fire weather threat through
this week.

Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
