.SYNOPSIS...

Temperatures will trend warmer through Wednesday when highs
should be in the middle 70s. A weak cold front will move through
the region Tuesday night with a few showers and thunderstorms
possible across northern sections of the Mid-South. Dry weather
returns for Wednesday as the cold front moves into central
Mississippi. More showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday
as the front surges north. Warmer weather returns for the weekend
with highs reaching the low to mid 80s. Along with the warmer
weather, more scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected for
the weekend.

Skies are clear across the Mid-South early this morning with
temperatures in the mid 30s to lower 40s. High pressure is
currently centered over southeast Oklahoma.

The high will continue to move southeast today and tonight with
dry weather expected through Tuesday morning. Winds will shift to
the south by this afternoon with warmer air moving into the
region. Temperatures will be warmer today with highs in the mid to
upper 60s. Tonight will also be milder with lows Tuesday morning
in the low to mid 40s.

A weak cold front will moves into the region from the north
Tuesday night and pushes into north Mississippi on Wednesday. A
few showers and thunderstorms are possible across northern
sections of the region Tuesday night. With the front moving out of
the Mid-South on Wednesday, dry weather briefly returns to the
region.

By Thursday, the front shifts back north through the region.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead
of the front during the day. The Mid-South remains in the warm
sector for Friday through Sunday as highs will be in the low to
mid 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move
across the region during the period.
