FOR SOUTHERN BLOUNT...NORTHEASTERN MONROE AND SOUTHERN SEVIER
COUNTIES...
At 1105 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northwest
of Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, or 12 miles south of Maryville,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Maryville, Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountains-Newfound Gap, Smoky
Mountains-Twentymile Creek, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Townsend,
Happy Valley, Citico Beach, Talassee, and Cades Cove.
