...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN HASKELL...NORTHEASTERN
JONES...SHACKELFORD AND THROCKMORTON COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 929 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Goree to 7 miles northeast of Irby to near
Lake Stamford Marina to near Nugent. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Stamford, Albany, Throckmorton, Lueders, Moran, Woodson, Weinert,
Irby, Paint Creek, Ibex, Elbert, Avoca, Millers Creek Reservoir, Fort
Griffin, Nugent, Lake Stamford Marina, Funston, Us-
183 Near The Throckmorton-Baylor County Line, The Intersection Of Us-
283 And Ranch Road 209, and Us-180 Near The Shackelford-
Stephens County Line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Angelo.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
west central Texas.
