PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River at Ottawa.

* WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Neosho Road east of Ottawa floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 30.5 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING TO TUESDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pottawatomie Creek at Lane.

* WHEN...From Monday morning to Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Minor low land flooding begins along the
  creek.
  At 24.0 feet, Douglas Road floods about a quarter mile northwest
  of Lane.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 21.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 23.6 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
