At 628 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in eastern
Oklahoma east of highway 75, also north of I44 and west of highway
75 and also west of a Eufaula to Hugo line. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Osage, Tulsa and Pawnee counties
in Oklahoma. Movement was to the north at around 15 mph. The average
amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an inch
with maximum amounts of two to two and a half inches. Coverage and
intensity remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for early this morning, occasional showers and
thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and temperatures 59 to 64 degrees
along with north winds 5 to 10 mph.
