THE NORTHWEST AVALANCHE CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCE WARNING...

TIMING...IN EFFECT WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 15TH.

LOCATION...THE NORTHWEST AND NORTHEAST WASHINGTON CASCADES.

AVALANCHE DANGER...THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS EXPECTED TO BE HIGH IN
ALL 3 TERRAIN BANDS IN THESE AREAS.

REASON...INCREASING HEAVY TO VERY RAIN WILL WEAKEN AND LOAD EXISTING
SNOW IN THE NORTHWEST CASCADES. INCREASING HEAVY SNOW WILL BUILD NEW
UNSTABLE SNOW LAYERS IN THE NORTHEAST CASCADES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN AREAS WITH A HIGH AVALANCHE
DANGER. PLEASE VISIT NWAC.US FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
