.A DEVELOPING COASTAL TROUGH WILL TIGHTEN THE PRESSURE GRADIENT AND ONSHORE
WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN THROUGH TONIGHT. TIDE LEVELS WILL INCREASE IN RESPONSE
TO THE STRONGER WINDS. THESE CONDITIONS WILL ALSO SUPPORT STRONG RIP CURRENTS
AND LONGSHORE CURRENTS. CAUTION SHOULD BE USED WHEN IN AND NEAR THE WATER TODAY.

BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT FOR MINOR COASTAL FLOODING AND
HAZARDOUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS, WHICH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* HAZARDS...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS.

* TIMING...THROUGH TONIGHT.

* LOCATION...LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS AND GULF FACING BEACHES.

* POTENTIAL IMPACTS...POSSIBLE WATER OVERWASH OF HIGHWAY 87 ON THE
  BOLIVAR PENINSULA AND HAZARDOUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IS ISSUED WHEN THREATS SUCH AS RIP
CURRENTS...LONGSHORE CURRENTS...SNEAKER WAVES AND OTHER HAZARDS
