...NOVEMBER WAS MUCH DRIER AND SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL...

WITH A TOTAL OF JUST 0.09 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION, NOVEMBER WAS THE
13TH DRIEST ON RECORD IN NORFOLK. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 38.4
DEGREES WAS 2.0 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND THE 38TH WARMEST. A TRACE
OF SNOW WAS RECORDED.

TEMPERATURES WERE BELOW NORMAL ON MOST DAYS FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE
13TH. THOUGH LARGELY A QUIET WEATHER PERIOD, MEASURABLE RAIN OF 0.02
INCHES DID FALL ON THE 12TH. FROM THE 14TH THROUGH THE 30TH, ALL BUT
FIVE DAYS HAD ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES. A COLD FRONT ON THE 17TH TO
18TH BROUGHT 0.07 INCHES OF RAIN, THE LAST MEASURABLE RAIN OF THE
MONTH. A BRIEF COOLDOWN ON THE 21ST AND 22ND BROUGHT THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH, AT 10 DEGREES ON THE 22ND, AS WELL AS THE
TRACE OF SNOW ON THE 21ST, BUT IT WAS FOLLOWED BY SEVERAL DAYS OF
MUCH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO THANKSGIVING. THE WARMEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 72 DEGREES ON THE 23RD AND 27TH, WHICH
WAS A DAILY RECORD HIGH ON THE 23RD.


FOR THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER, THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 51.9 DEGREES, WHICH WAS 1.5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND
THE 34TH WARMEST ON RECORD. THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS 5.69 INCHES,
WHICH WAS 0.44 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. ONLY A TRACE OF SNOW WAS
RECORDED.
