SYNOPSIS FOR BAFFIN BAY TO RIO GRANDE OUT 60 NM-
340 AM CST FRI FEB 24 2017

.SYNOPSIS...SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS HAVE INCREASED ACROSS THE
FAR OFFSHORE GULF WATERS EARLY THIS MORNING AS A RESULT OF A
TIGHTENING SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT. AS SUCH...A SMALL CRAFT
ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR HAZARDOUS WINDS AND SEAS ACROSS THE
20-60 NM GULF WATERS. WINDS AND SEAS WILL SUBSIDE AHEAD OF AN
APPROACHING COLD FRONT LATER THIS MORNING. THIS WEAK FRONT WILL
PASS THROUGH THE LOWER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS AROUND NOON...BUT WILL
ONLY BRING LIGHT NORTHWEST TO NORTH WINDS IN ITS WAKE. BREEZY
ONSHORE FLOW WILL RETURN OVER THE WEEKEND AS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES
INTO THE NORTHERN GULF. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS MAY RETURN
FOR THE FAR OFFSHORE GULF WATERS SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY.
MARINE CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE BY EARLY NEXT WEEK AS THE SURFACE
PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES.
