...Threat of localized flooding due to rain and snowmelt can
be expected through Tuesday...
Localized minor flooding will possible across Benton...Franklin...
Walla Walla...and Columbia Counties of Washington, as well as
Morrow and Umatilla Counties of Oregon. Two warm weather systems
will bring rain through Tuesday. Although rain chances will
decrease tonight...the next system arrives early Tuesday.
Snow levels in the Blue Mountains will remain around 5000 feet
and then decrease to 3500-4000 feet Tuesday. The Lower Columbia
Basin and Foothills of the Blue Mountains will see several periods
of rain and may see local ponding of water on roads and rapid
rises in small streams Monday through Tuesday evening.
Runoff from rain and snowmelt may cause flooding of some small
streams, fields, and poor drainage areas. City streets may be
impacted, especially where storm drains are clogged. Low-lying
county roads may be affected, and homes with poor drainage around
the foundation may be at risk for basement flooding.
Mainstem river flooding is not expected at this time. Cooler air
