.A FRONT ACROSS KANSAS AND MISSOURI WILL SLOWLY LIFT NORTH
TONIGHT. VERY WARM AND MOIST AIR SOUTH OF THE FRONT WILL INTERACT
WITH AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF
THUNDERSTORMS. THESE STORMS MAY MOVE ACROSS THE SAME AREAS AND
PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS AND IOWA HAS BEEN
CANCELLED. THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAIN HAS ENDED FOR THIS AREA.
BRIEF DOWNPOURS AND LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN ARE STILL POSSIBLE
ACROSS THIS AREA. THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING HAS DIMISNISHED
ENOUGH TO CANCEL THE WATCH.

MORNING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND
  NORTHEAST MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN WEST
  CENTRAL ILLINOIS...HANCOCK AND MCDONOUGH. IN SOUTHEAST IOWA...
  LEE AND VAN BUREN. IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI...CLARK AND SCOTLAND.

* UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING

* A FRONT WILL MOVE NORTH INTO THE AREA TONIGHT. VERY WARM AND
  MOIST AIR SOUTH OF THE FRONT WILL HELP PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF
  THUNDERSTORMS. RAINFALL OF AT LEAST 2 TO 4 INCHES MAY BE
  POSSIBLE BY SUNRISE THURSDAY.

* THE GROUND IS ALREADY QUITE MOIST FROM HEAVY RAINFALL THE PAST
  10 DAYS. ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WOULD QUICKLY SATURATE
  THE SOIL RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING AND CAUSING RISES ON AREA
  WATERWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
MONITOR FORECASTS AND TAKE ACTION IF FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE
ISSUED OR FLASH FLOODING DEVELOPS.
