EASTERN TEXAS EARLY THIS MORNING WILL MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS
SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI DURING THE LATE
MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS. WIDESPREAD RAIN AMOUNTS NEAR 2 INCHES
IS POSSIBLE...BUT AREAS THAT RECEIVE REPEAT THUNDERSTORMS COULD
SEE AS MUCH AS 4 INCHES OR MORE OF RAIN BY EVENING.

  SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
  SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...ASCENSION...ASSUMPTION...EAST BATON
  ROUGE...EAST FELICIANA...IBERVILLE...LIVINGSTON...NORTHERN
  TANGIPAHOA...POINTE COUPEE...SOUTHERN TANGIPAHOA...ST.
  HELENA...ST. JAMES...ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST...ST. TAMMANY...
  WASHINGTON...WEST BATON ROUGE AND WEST FELICIANA. IN SOUTHERN
  MISSISSIPPI...AMITE...PIKE...WALTHALL AND WILKINSON.

* HEAVY RAIN OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED TOTALS IN EXCESS OF 4
  INCHES POSSIBLE.

* RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 INCHES IN AN HOUR COULD QUICKLY LEAD TO
  LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING CONCERNS...ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AREAS
  WHERE RUNOFF WILL BE VERY QUICK.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
