The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  East central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...

* Until 945 PM MDT

* At 637 PM MDT, your National Weather Service Doppler radar
  estimated over one and a half inches of heavy rain in the last
  hour over the Organ Mountains...Baylor Canyon and Dripping
  Springs roads.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

  East Las Cruces...
  East Mesa...Talavera...
  Organ...
  Dripping Springs...
  Soledad Canyon...
  and Aguirre Springs.

Additional rainfall of one inch or more inches is expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
