FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Kentucky...

  Ohio River at Newburgh Dam

.Recent heavy rainfall in the area and upstream across the Ohio
Valley has resulted in rises along area rivers. Minor flooding is
forecast to occur on the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam on Wednesday,
then cresting by Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam
* From Wednesday Afternoon to Sunday January 22.
* At  8:00 PM Sunday the stage was 29.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to rise above flood stage on
  Wednesday afternoon and crest at 39.8 feet by Friday.
* Impact...At 38.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs.  The river is 2500
  feet wide and begins covering agricultural land on the Kentucky
  side.
