FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
452 AM EDT THU SEP 3 2015

...A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE TODAY THEN DRY THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN THE DOMINANT WEATHER FEATURE THROUGH AT
LEAST THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND. THE RESULT WILL BE A CONTINUATION OF
WARM TEMPERATURES AND MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS. A WEAK BACKDOOR COLD
FRONT WILL DROP SOUTH ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA TODAY. THIS WILL
BRING OUR ONLY CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SHORT
TERM. COVERAGE OF PRECIPITATION WILL BE SCATTERED AND ANY
PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS ON THE LIGHT SIDE. DRIER AND SLIGHTLY COOLER
AIR FILTERS IN LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL SETTLE
OVER THE REGION ON FRIDAY...RESULTING IN SUNSHINE WITH LIGHT
WINDS. HIGHS WILL BE AROUND 80 WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES
AROUND 35 PERCENT. DRY WEATHER SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY WITH
TEMPERATURES WARMING THROUGH THE PERIOD. IT WILL TURN A BIT MORE
HUMID AS WELL. A WEAK FRONT WILL BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS NEXT
TUESDAY...WITH A STRONGER FRONT TO FOLLOW LATER NEXT WEEK.
