FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
242 PM EST SUN FEB 7 2016

.DISCUSSION...
A RAIN AND SNOW MIX CONTINUES TO PULL NE OUT OF THE PEE DEE
AND EASTERN MIDLANDS AS A DEEP COASTAL LOW INTENSIFIES AND
PULLS AWAY FROM THE REGION. EXPECT CLEARING TO OCCUR FROM WEST
TO EAST THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING AS THIS OCCURS.

WINDS WILL BE A FACTOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW WITH A TIGHT
PRESSURE GRADIENT AND APPROACHING FRONT ON MONDAY. SFC WINDS
WILL REMAIN SOMEWHAT ELEVATED SUNDAY NIGHT AT 5-8 MPH AND WILL
INCREASE TO 10-15 WITH GUSTS TO 20 MPH OUT OF THE W-SW DURING
THE DAY. THIS COMBINATION OF WINDS AND DRIER AIR WILL PRECLUDE
FOG DEVELOPMENT OVERNIGHT. AS A COLD FRONT PASSES THROUGH THE
REGION BY MONDAY EVENING...A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS IS PRESENT
ESPECIALLY IN THE PIEDMONT AND PEE DEE REGIONS...ALTHOUGH LIMITED
MOISTURE WILL PRECLUDE WIDESPREAD DEVELOPMENT.
