Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
253 PM EDT Tue Aug 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will push into the region on Wednesday bringing
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Widespread
significant rainfall is not expected but average rainfall
could range from a quarter to half an inch. Dispersion tonight
should be improved with some increased boundary layer winds
ahead of the approaching front as well as Thursday night behind
the front.

Westerly transport winds expected on Wednesday with the front
and then turning northerly on Thursday behind the front. Fog
is not expected to be an issue tonight with increased boundary
layer winds.
