FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
434 AM CDT THU SEP 3 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A WEAK UPPER-LEVEL DISTURBANCE CURRENTLY OVER THE CENTRAL
TENNESSEE VALLEY WILL DRIFT SOUTHEASTWARD INTO CENTRAL GEORGIA
TODAY...AND THIS FEATURE MAY BRING ISOLATED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION THROUGHOUT THE DAY. ASIDE FROM THIS
ACTIVITY...A DRY WEATHER PATTERN IS ANTICIPATED FROM TONIGHT
THROUGH FRIDAY. MIXING HEIGHTS WILL RISE FROM AROUND 7000 FT
TODAY INTO THE 8000-8500 FT RANGE ON FRIDAY. HOWEVER...LIGHT
NORTHEASTERLY TRANSPORT FLOW WITH SPEEDS OF 5 MPH OR LESS WILL
LIMIT DISPERSION TO THE FAIR CATEGORY BOTH DAYS. SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE FOR THE ENTIRE REGION ON
SATURDAY...AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE SOUTHEAST AND USHER ADDITIONAL
MOISTURE INTO THE REGION. IN A SUMMER-LIKE PATTERN...ISOLATED
TO WIDELY SCATTERED AFTERNOON SHOWERS/STORMS ARE EXPECTED IN
THE REGION EACH DAY FROM SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY.
