Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
240 AM EDT Sun May 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur today thru early in
the upcoming work-week due to the combination of several upper
level disturbances, diurnal heating, and the daily sea breeze. Dry
high pressure will finally build overhead late Tue with Bermuda
high pressure and the Piedmont trof combining to produce
well above normal temperatures Wed thru Fri. Showers and
thunderstorm chances increase towards the end of the week due to
an approaching frontal system and an upper low.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
