FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
602 AM EDT SAT AUG 29 2015

...ISOLATED MORNING SHOWERS TODAY THEN DRY INTO AT LEAST MONDAY...

.DISCUSSION...A PASSING UPPER AIR DISTURBANCE WILL SUPPORT ISOLATED
SHOWERS OVER THE AREA THIS MORNING BEFORE AN UPPER RIDGE BUILDS
IN FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON. THIS HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE
WILL PERSIST THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK YIELDING GENERALLY DRY
CONDITIONS AND MUCH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES. A SERIES OF UPPER
DISTURBANCES MOVING ACROSS THE RIDGE COULD TRIGGER ISOLATED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS TUESDAY INTO THURSDAY. GENERALLY LIGHTER WINDS AND
MOIST DEWPOINTS IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S SHOULD KEEP FIRE DANGER LOW
THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK.
