FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHEAST ARIZONA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ
302 PM MST WED APR 23 2014

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
+++ 20-FOOT WIND FORECAST OF `LIGHT WINDS` INDICATES MAINLY
    TERRAIN DRIVEN WINDS +++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

.DISCUSSION...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE MOVING ACROSS THE STATE HAS
BROUGHT GUSTY WEST WINDS TO THE AREA...WITH SUSTAINED 20 FOOT WINDS
GENERALLY IN THE 10-20 MPH RANGE. IN ADDITION...A VERY DRY AIRMASS
RESIDES ACROSS THE AREA WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES IN THE SINGLE
DIGITS TO TEENS. ALTHOUGH A FEW PLACES EAST OF TUCSON MAY BRIEFLY
NEAR RED FLAG CRITERIA INTO THE EARLY EVENING...CONDITIONS ARE NOR
EXPECTED TO BE WIDESPREAD.

LESS WIND THURSDAY...THEN INCREASING AGAIN FRIDAY AND BECOME STRONG
AND GUSTY SATURDAY AS ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE
AREA. ALTHOUGH CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE BOTH
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...MOISTURE WILL BE ON THE INCREASE SATURDAY
WHICH MAY LIMIT THE OVERALL CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
