...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER NORTHERN NEVADA WILL BOOST
TEMPERATURES SEVERAL DEGREES TODAY. SOME MOISTURE WILL ALSO SPREAD
BACK INTO NORTHWEST ARIZONA LEADING TO A CHANCE OF AFTERNOON AND
EVENING THUNDERSTORMS. A MOIST SOUTHEAST FLOW WILL INCREASE OVER
THE ENTIRE REGION MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH EXPANDING THUNDERSTORM
COVERAGE.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

INCREASING MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL BRING A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS
TO THE MOUNTAINS AND UPPER DESERTS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
INITIALLY...THUNDERSTORMS COULD HAVE STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND A FEW
DRY LIGHTNING STRIKES. HOWEVER...AS THE MONSOONAL MOISTURE CONTINUES
TO INCREASE...THERE WILL BE GREATER POTENTIAL FOR WETTING RAINS
LATER IN THE AFTERNOON. FOR TONIGHT AND MONDAY...AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE FROM THE SOUTHEAST AND GREATER MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL
BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH MONDAY MORNING WITH GREATER CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH
WETTING RAINS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING FOR THE
MOUNTAINS...DESERTS...AND INLAND VALLEYS. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL
DECREASE FOR TUESDAY AFTERNOON WITH DRY WEATHER EXPECTED FOR
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE WILL BE MORE EXTENSIVE ACROSS THE
DISTRICT...ESPECIALLY MONDAY WITH MANY LOCATIONS RECEIVING DECENT
RAINFALL. GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS MAY ALSO BE COMMON THIS AFTERNOON
WORKING WESTWARD THROUGH ARIZONA. A SURGE OF MOISTURE IS EXPECTED
THIS EVENING WITH WIDESPREAD DEWPOINTS IN THE 60S SPREADING INTO THE
AREA. THUS BY MONDAY...MINIMUM HUMIDITIES WILL ONLY FALL INTO A
20 TO 40 PERCENT RANGE WITH GOOD TO EXCELLENT OVERNIGHT RECOVERY.
