...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW FOR THE ENTIRE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW CENTERED JUST OFFSHORE OF THE SEWARD PENINSULA
AND ASSOCIATED TROUGH EXTENDING SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE MAINLAND WILL
REMAIN RELATIVELY STATIONARY OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. A WESTERLY FLOW
WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF OF ALASKA BRINGING SHOWERS TO
SOUTHEAST PANHANDLE THROUGH SATURDAY. THE REMAINDER OF THE STATE
WILL BE RELATIVELY DRY.

LITTLE CHANGE IN OVERALL SYNOPTIC PATTERN WILL OCCUR THROUGH SUNDAY
AS THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CENTERED OVER NORTHWEST ALASKA GRADUALLY
MOVES SOUTH AND WEAKENS. AN ASSOCIATED SHORTWAVE FORMS IN GULF OF
ALASKA AND MOVES ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST PANHANHANDLE SATURDAY NIGHT
BRINGING PERIODS OF HEAVIER RAIN TO SOUTHEAST PANHANDLE.  SNOW
LEVELS ALONG GULF OF ALASKA AND PANHANDLE WILL VARY BETWEEN 1000 AND
3000 FEET.
