A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...

NEARSHORE WATERS FROM WASHINGTON ISLAND TO SHEBOYGAN...
OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM ROCK ISLAND PASSAGE TO SHEBOYGAN...

AT 610 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS AND SMALL HAIL. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 11 NM EAST OF
WHITEFISH POINT TO NEAR RAWLEY POINT LIGHT...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35
KNOTS.  THROUGH 700 PM, THE STRONGEST STORMS OVER THE WATERS WILL BE
BETWEEN TWO RIVERS AND KEWAUNEE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
