A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
  LAKE MICHIGAN MICHIGAN CITY IN TO ST. JOSEPH MI 5 NM OFFSHORE TO
  MID-LINE OF LAKE....
  MICHIGAN CITY IN TO NEW BUFFALO MI...
  NEW BUFFALO MI TO ST JOSEPH MI...

AT 509 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS
WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 21 NM WEST OF THE HOLLAND
LIGHT TO 32 NM EAST OF KENOSHA TO 35 NM SOUTHWEST OF PLEASANT PRAIRIE
TO 81 NM SOUTHWEST OF WINTHROP HARBOR...MOVING EAST AT 45 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
ST. JOSEPH...NEW BUFFALO AND MICHIGAN CITY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.

THIS STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE WINDS TO AROUND 30
KNOTS...AND COULD POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A SPECIAL
