TERREBONNE PARISH...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  COASTAL WATERS FROM PORT FOURCHON LOUISIANA TO LOWER ATCHAFALAYA
  RIVER LA FROM 20 TO 60 NM...

AT 511 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS AND
FREQUENT CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 45 NM SOUTH OF CAILLOU BAY TO 70 NM
SOUTH OF TERREBONNE BAY...MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 20 KNOTS.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY OPEN WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
