...STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS LIKELY ACROSS THE SOUNDS THIS MORNING...

A DEEPENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL LIFT NORTH JUST OFF THE
COAST THIS MORNING POTENTIALLY BRINGING SEVERAL HOURS OF WINDS
GUSTING TO AROUND 25 TO 30 KNOTS ACROSS THE PAMLICO SOUND...
EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE ALBEMARLE SOUND AND POSSIBLY THE
ALLIGATOR RIVER.

MARINERS ARE URGED TO MONITOR THE CONDITIONS BEFORE HEADING OUT ON
THE WATERS AND BE PREPARED FOR RAPIDLY STRENGTHENING WINDS THROUGH
THE MORNING HOURS. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH THIS AFTERNOON
AS THE LOW PRESSURE LIFTS AWAY FROM THE AREA.
