...GUSTY NORTHEASTERLY WINDS DROPPING SOUTH ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
LAKE MICHIGAN NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS TO MID LAKE FROM SHEBOYGAN WI
TO WINTHROP HARBOR IL...

AT 847 PM CDT...A COLD FRONT WAS MOVING SOUTH ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN.
AS THE FRONT PASSES...EXPECT WESTERLY WINDS TO QUICKLY SHIFT TO THE
NORTHEAST AND INCREASE TO 15 TO 20 KNOTS WITH A FEW GUSTS
APPROACHING 30 KNOTS. IN ADDITION TO THE WIND SHIFT...A QUICK DROP
IN TEMPERATURE AND SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL ACCOMPANY THE FRONT AS IT
PASSES.

THESE NORTHEASTERLY WINDS...COOLER TEMPERATURES...AND SCATTERED
SHOWERS SHOULD REACH MILWAUKEE BY 9-10 PM...RACINE BY 10-11 PM...AND
TO EXIT WISCONSIN AFTER MIDNIGHT. BEHIND THE FRONT...WINDS WILL
REMAIN FROM THE NNE AT 15-20 KTS WITH GUSTS AROUND 30 KTS FOR THE
NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS AND LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR.
