THE STRONG WINTER STORM THAT BEGAN SUNDAY MORNING MOVED OUT TO THE
EAST TUESDAY MORNING. THE STORM GENERATED AREAS OF HEAVY SNOWFALL
AND BLOWING SNOW IN MANY MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS OF EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO, AS WELL AS RAIN AND SNOW AT LOWER ELEVATIONS.
FOLLOWING ARE SNOWFALL AND PRECIPITATION STORM TOTAL REPORTS.

OF EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO.  THESE AMOUNTS ARE ESTIMATED
USING READINGS FROM REMOTE SENSORS SCATTERED THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS
OF THE REGION. ALL SENSORS ARE LOCATED AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8200
FEET.

NORTHEAST UTAH MOUNTAINS:
4 TO 5 INCHES.
EASTERN TAVAPUTS:
    4 INCHES.
SOUTHEAST UTAH MOUNTAINS:
3 TO 6 INCHES.
NORTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS:
    ELKHEADS AND PARK RANGE: 14 TO 30 INCHES, WITH 43 AT TOWER.
FLATTOPS: 13 TO 30 INCHES, WITH 33 AT BISON LAKE.
CENTRAL COLORADO MOUNTAINS:
GRAND MESA: 14 TO 20 INCHES.
GORE RANGE AND ELK MOUNTAINS: 13 TO 26 INCHES.
WEST ELKS AND SAWATCH RANGE: 10 TO 20 INCHES, WITH 28 AT SCHOFIELD PASS.
SOUTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS:
UNCOMPAGHRE PLATEAU: 5 INCHES.
NORTHWEST SAN JUANS: 9 TO 20 INCHES.
SOUTHWEST SAN JUANS: 8 TO 17 INCHES, WITH 29 AT BEARTOWN.
