...High Flows to Continue on the Boise River...
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation will
continue the high flows on the Boise River until further notice.
These increased flows will help reduce the risk of flooding later in
the spring...which can happen due to rapidly melting snow and rain.
Flows on the Boise River at Glenwood Bridge were near 5640 cubic
feet per second (cfs) as of 1:45 PM Tuesday. Flows are expected to
remain near this level the next several days with some fluctuation.
Minor flooding of low spots along the river...including sections of
the greenbelt path and nature trail will continue.
Persons are urged to use caution near the river...as these flows are
dangerous. The water is deep...cold and swift and can quickly carry
you away. Cold water can quickly cause hypothermia and overcome even
the best swimmers.
