   ...River Rises Near Flood Stage Possible This Week...

.There is potential for heavy precipitation across the
Mississippi headwaters. The precipitation will likely fall as snow
through Monday. Warmer temperatures Tuesday will melt that snow
and lead to river rises during the latter half of the week. The
Mississippi River near Aitkin and Fort Ripley may rise above flood
stage depending on the rate of snowmelt.
