Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

A cold front will approach from the west tonight, then cross the
region early Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible
ahead of the boundary, mainly in northern Maryland and west of the
Blue Ridge Mountains.

High pressure will return for the second half of the week bringing
noticeably cooler and less humid conditions.
