WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING...

A STRONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL ENTER SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...EXTREME
NORTHEAST TEXAS...AND THE NORTHERN SECTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS
AROUND DAYBREAK WEDNESDAY...WITH MUCH COLDER AIR SPILLING SOUTH
INTO EAST TEXAS AND NORTH LOUISIANA DURING THE DAY. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP NEAR AND JUST BEHIND THE COLD
FRONT...WITH A WINTRY MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP FARTHER NORTH BEHIND THE FRONT DURING THE AFTERNOON OVER
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS TEMPERATURES QUICKLY
FALL TO OR BELOW FREEZING. THE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO A
MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WEDNESDAY EVENING OVER EXTREME
NORTHEAST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...AS WELL AS SOUTHWEST
ARKANSAS...AND POSSIBLY AFTER MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACROSS THE
INTERSTATE 20 CORRIDOR OF NORTH LOUISIANA.

AT THIS TIME...ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A TENTH TO A QUARTER OF AN
INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS MCCURTAIN COUNTY OKLAHOMA...PORTIONS
OF EXTREME NORTHEAST TEXAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS AND NORTHCENTRAL
LOUISIANA THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. ISOLATED HIGHER ICE
ACCUMULATIONS GREATER THAN ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS. THE PRECIPITATION MAY
CHANGE OVER TO SNOW BEFORE ENDING ACROSS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...RESULTING IN LIGHT
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER
AMOUNTS...ATOP THE ICE.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MAY BE NEEDED ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE REGION
FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT. BE SURE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS FROM
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONCERNING THIS POTENTIAL WINTER STORM.
