...A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE NEXT STORM
FROM 4 AM PST FRIDAY TO 10 AM PST SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO
10 AM PST SATURDAY. IN THE MEANTIME, SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS
THROUGH THIS EVENING WILL LEAVE LITTLE ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...A FEW INCHES DOWN TO 4000 FEET. 3 TO 12
  INCHES ABOVE 5000 FEET. 2 FEET OR MORE ABOVE 7000 FEET.

* TIMING...THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL EARLY FRIDAY
  MORNING INTO FRIDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...THE HEAVY SNOW WILL MAKE MANY ROADS IMPASSABLE AND
  CREATE WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS. OVER THE HIGHEST
  ELEVATIONS...STRONG WINDS WILL LEAD TO BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED
  VISIBILITY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF
SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN
AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...
FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

FROM 7 AM FRIDAY TO 4 AM PST SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WARNING
IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 7 INCHES... WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 9
  INCHES ABOVE 5000 FEET.

* LOCATIONS...FRAZIER PARK...CUDDY VALLEY...ALTA SIERRA AND WALKER
  PASS.

* HAZARD TYPES...WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* IMPACTS...THE SNOWFALL WILL CREATE SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 45 MPH.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
