A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
NOON AKDT TODAY.

* LOCATION...ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1000 FEET. HEAVIEST SNOW EAST OF
  THE DALTON HIGHWAY.

* SNOW...1 TO 3 INCHES. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL 5 TO 9 INCHES.

* BLOWING SNOW...SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH GUSTING TO 35 MPH THIS
  EVENING THROUGH PASSES WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY TO ONE HALF MILE
  OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST TUESDAY MORNING.
  STRONG WINDS THROUGH PASSES WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH AFTER
  MIDNIGHT AND LOW VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW WILL IMPROVE.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE DIFFICULT.
