URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Threat for Freezing Rain Tonight into Tuesday...

.A band of freezing rain may develop over portions of north
central and northeast Kansas tonight and persist into Tuesday.
There is some uncertainty in total ice accumulation amounts, but
confidence is increasing that areas in the advisory will see
impacts from freezing rain. The freezing rain may develop east
into portions of east central Kansas during the early morning
hours of Tuesday, generally along and west of a Oskaloosa, to
Topeka, to Emporia line.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
NOON CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of 1 to 2 tenths
  are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and
  northeast Kansas.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
  conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.
