...Flooding is possible along The Turkey and Upper Iowa
Rivers and their tributaries...

Although the area dodged most of the heavy rainfall last night, heavy
rain is forecast to fall today through tomorrow. This, combined
with the already moist soil conditions, is expected to result in
rising water levels. Should this forecast rainfall materialize,
flooding is possible.

Below are the possible river crests based on the amount of rain we
are expecting...be sure to monitor the weather and check back for
updates.

For the Upper Iowa River...
At Bluffton...The stage this morning was 5.42 feet. Flood stage is
14.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to a crest near or just
above flood stage Friday morning.

At Decorah...The stage this morning was 4.01 feet. Flood stage is
12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach a crest between 10 and
11 feet Thursday.

At Dorchester Hwy 76...The stage this morning was 10.26 feet. Flood
stage is 14.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage
Thursday morning, and reach a crest near 20 feet Thursday evening.
This would result in Major flooding.

For the Turkey River...
At Elkader...The stage this morning was 8.90 feet. Flood stage is
12.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage Friday
morning, and reach a crest between 18 and 19 feet on Saturday. This
would result in Moderate flooding.

And at Garber...The stage this morning was 11.01 feet. Flood stage is
17.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage Friday
evening, and reach a crest between 20 and 21 feet Saturday evening.
This would result in Moderate flooding.
