...HEAVY RAIN AND FLOODING POTENTIAL TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY...

AT LEAST TWO ROUNDS OF POTENTIALLY HEAVY RAIN ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH
THURSDAY. THE FIRST ROUND LOOKS TO IMPACT THE AREA TONIGHT WHILE
THE SECOND ROUND MOVES THROUGH THE AREA WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AS A RESULT...SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN MAY FALL
ACROSS THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY. WITH NEARLY SATURATED
SOILS AND HIGH RIVER LEVELS FROM RECENT RAINS...FLASH FLOODING AND
RIVER FLOODING ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

THE HIGHEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS LOOK TO FALL ACROSS SOUTHEAST
MINNESOTA INTO SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...BUT THE AXIS OF HEAVIEST RAIN
MAY SHIFT.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MAY BE NEEDED FOR MUCH OF THE AREA.
