HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
445 AM CDT MON SEP 5 2016

...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED INTO MIDWEEK...

AN ACTIVE STRETCH OF WEATHER WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE UPPER MIDWEST
FOR MUCH OF THE UPCOMING WEEK...WITH SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED. THE MOST LIKELY TIME FOR STORMS WITH
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS TO OCCUR LOOKS TO BE FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED DURING THIS
PERIOD. LOCALIZED MUCH HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE IF THE
ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS TRACK ACROSS THE SAME LOCATION.

AT THIS TIME...IT REMAINS TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE WHERE THE
HEAVIEST RAINS WILL OCCUR. HOWEVER...WITH MOIST SOILS IN MANY
LOCATIONS FROM A VERY WET MONTH OF AUGUST...RUNOFF FROM HEAVY
RAINFALL MAY BE ENOUGH TO CREATE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO THE AREA...PARTICULARLY THOSE NEAR
RIVERS AND STREAMS...SHOULD REMAIN AWARE OF THE HEAVY RAIN
POTENTIAL. PAY ATTENTION TO FORECASTS THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS
DETAILS OF THE HEAVY RAIN THREAT BECOME CLEARER.
