HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
307 PM CDT SUN SEP 4 2016

...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED INTO MIDWEEK...

AN ACTIVE STRETCH OF WEATHER WILL BE FOUND ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY
NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...WITH SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED. IN GENERAL...RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3
INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN MANY AREAS BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT...BUT
LOCALIZED MUCH HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE IF THUNDERSTORMS TRACK
ACROSS THE SAME LOCATIONS.

AT THIS TIME...IT REMAINS TOO EARLY TO DISCERN THE EXACT LOCATION
WHERE THE HEAVIEST RAINS WILL OCCUR. HOWEVER...WITH MOIST SOILS IN
MANY AREAS FROM A VERY WET MONTH OF AUGUST...RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAIN
MAY BE ENOUGH TO CREATE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO THE AREA...PARTICULARLY THOSE NEAR BODIES
OF WATER...SHOULD REMAIN AWARE OF THE HEAVY RAIN POTENTIAL AND PAY
ATTENTION THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS THE FORECAST IS FURTHER REFINED.
