HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
104 PM CDT THU AUG 18 2016

...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE NEXT FEW DAYS...

ACTIVE WEATHER IS EXPECTED THE NEXT 3 DAYS WHICH COULD BRING
SEVERAL ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS. GIVEN THE MUGGY ATMOSPHERE THESE
STORMS COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN...AND OVER TIME...COULD
ACCUMULATE SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN LEADING TO POTENTIAL FLOODING
PROBLEMS.

IT IS TOO EARLY TO DISCERN WHERE THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FALL OVER
THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...BUT HIGHEST CONCERN IS FOR AREAS THAT WERE
HIT HARD BY HEAVY RAINFALL LAST WEEK...NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90 IN
PARTS OF SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA INTO WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN. IN THOSE
AREAS RUNOFF WILL OCCUR MORE QUICKLY SO NEW FLOODING COULD
DEVELOP.

IN ADDITION...SOME AREA RIVERS WILL LIKELY RISE THIS WEEKEND.
