HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
349 PM CDT FRI MAR 28 2014

...RIVER FLOODING POSSIBLE EARLY NEXT WEEK...

RIVER FLOODING COULD OCCUR IN PORTIONS OF WESTERN INTO NORTH CENTRAL
WISCONSIN EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE IS STILL SOME SNOW ON THE GROUND
FOR AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 10. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
TO WARM INTO THE UPPER 40S AND 50S SUNDAY AND MONDAY. AND IN
ADDITION...ANOTHER SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN TO THE AREA.
THE RUNOFF FROM MELTING SNOW AND NEW RAINFALL ON TOP OF THE STILL
FROZEN GROUND WILL LIKELY LEAD TO RAPID RISES ON AREA CREEKS AND
RIVERS. FLOODING IS A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY...ESPECIALLY FOR THE
BLACK...TREMPEALEAU...AND BUFFALO RIVERS AND THEIR SMALLER
TRIBUTARIES.

BE SURE TO MONITOR THE LATEST HYDROLOGIC STATEMENTS AND OUTLOOKS AS
THE FLOODING POTENTIAL BECOMES MORE CLEAR IN THE COMING DAYS.
