FLOOD WATCH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
825 PM CDT THU SEP 22 2016

...FLOODING CONTINUES...POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAIN TONIGHT...

.HEAVY RAIN FROM THE PAST FEW DAYS HAS RESULTED IN FLASH FLOODING
ACROSS LARGE PORTIONS OF THE AREA...WITH ROAD CLOSURES...
MUDSLIDES...AND RISING WATER ON RIVERS AND STREAMS.

MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AND CONTINUE
THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. LATEST TRENDS INDICATE THIS ACTIVITY
SHOULD MAINLY BE CONFINED TO NORTHEAST IOWA INTO SOUTHWEST
WISCONSIN WHERE AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO AS MUCH AS 2 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE.

FARTHER NORTH ALONG THE INTERSTATE 90 CORRIDOR...WHILE THERE MAY
STILL BE SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS OVERNIGHT...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
AMOUNTS LOOK TO BE LESS THAN AN INCH. THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN SHOULD
NOT BE ENOUGH TO CAUSE NEW FLOODING PROBLEMS AND THE FLOOD WATCH
HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA INTO PARTS OF WESTERN
WISCONSIN.

DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATERS AS IT MAY HAVE WASHED OUT THE ROAD
OR BRIDGE.
