...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING TONIGHT
THROUGH THURSDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS EVENING AND
THEN CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS IS
THEN ANTICIPATED TO FORM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO
THURSDAY. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN WITH
MOST LOCATIONS PICKING UP BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES. WHERE THESE
STORMS TRACK REPEATEDLY ACROSS THE SAME AREAS...LOCALIZED RAINFALL
AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 7 INCHES COULD OCCUR. WITH SOILS ALREADY
QUITE WET FROM RECENT HEAVY RAIN OVER THE PAST MONTH...FLOODING OF
STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY DEVELOP FASTER THAN NORMAL.

* PORTIONS OF IOWA...SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN IOWA...ALLAMAKEE...
  CHICKASAW...CLAYTON...FAYETTE...FLOYD...HOWARD...MITCHELL AND
  WINNESHIEK. IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...DODGE...FILLMORE...
  HOUSTON...MOWER...OLMSTED...WABASHA AND WINONA. IN WISCONSIN...
   ADAMS...BUFFALO...CLARK...CRAWFORD...GRANT...JACKSON...
  JUNEAU...LA CROSSE...MONROE...RICHLAND...TAYLOR...TREMPEALEAU
  AND VERNON.

* FROM 1 AM CDT WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING

* TWO ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ARE
  EXPECTED THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING. THE FIRST ROUND WILL OCCUR
  OVERNIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH THE SECOND ROUND
  EXPECTED TO DEVELOP WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO
  THURSDAY.

* 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN ARE FORECAST FOR MOST LOCATIONS...WITH
  LOCALIZED AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 7 INCHES POSSIBLE WHERE STORMS
  TRACK OVER THE SAME AREAS. WITH ALREADY WET SOILS...FLOODING
  MAY DEVELOP RAPIDLY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

THOSE LIVING OR RECREATING NEAR WATERWAYS SHOULD MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD
WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
