...More Heavy Rain Expected into Tonight...

.Thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight is expected to
produce widespread 1 to 3 inches of rainfall across northeast
Iowa into far southwest Wisconsin. Torrential downpours could
produce some locally higher amounts.

This additional heavy rainfall, coupled with already saturated
soils, could cause flash flooding. Impacts could include flooded
roadways and washouts, mud and rock slides, and rapid river rises
and flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Minnesota and
Wisconsin has been cancelled. The focus for heavy rainfall has
shifted south across far northeast Iowa into far southwest
Wisconsin.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Iowa and southwest Wisconsin, including the
  following areas, in Iowa, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton,
  Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, and Winneshiek. In southwest
  Wisconsin, Crawford, Grant, Richland, and Vernon.

* Through Saturday morning

* Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
  possible.

* Impacts could include flash flooding, additional road
  washouts, rock and mud slides, and river flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
