...More Heavy Rain Expected Today into Tonight...

.Several rounds of thunderstorms will produce 1 to 3 inches of
rain across the Upper Mississippi River Valley from this afternoon
through Saturday morning. Some locally higher rainfall amounts
are possible.

This expected heavy rainfall, coupled with saturated soils, could
cause flash flooding. This will include road washouts, mud and
rock slides, and rapid river rises.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON CDT TODAY
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and
  Wisconsin, including the following areas, in northeast Iowa,
  Allamakee, Clayton, Howard, and Winneshiek. In southeast
  Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha,
  and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Crawford, Grant,
  Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and
  Vernon.

* From noon CDT today through Saturday morning

* Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
  possible.

* Impacts could include flash flooding, additional road
  washouts, rock and mud slides, and river flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
